To date, Ballard House has never charged guests anything because of the kindness of sponsors, donors, volunteers, and the Katy community.

“Cinco Charities, Inc. was born to provide temporary housing for patients and their caregivers coming to the Katy/West Houston area medical facilities to treat life-threatening illnesses,” Brown says. Applications to stay at The Ballard House are filled out online at their website and are approved on a need and availability basis. The goal of The Ballard House is to make sure no one goes without necessary medical care due to the costs of staying away from home for treatment.
